Do not read only the happy-path docs
The main flow matters, but many production issues appear in edge states such as cancellation, timeout, duplicate callbacks, and recovery handling. Those details should be planned as part of API integration, not added afterward.
Confirm signature and status rules early
A large share of testing time is usually not spent on the main flow, but on details such as signature rules, time formats, status-field meanings, and exception-value handling. The earlier these definitions are clarified, the smoother API coordination becomes.
Idempotency is essential for callbacks
Duplicate callbacks are a normal part of payment systems. Without idempotent handling, teams risk duplicate fulfillment, repeated accounting, or broken order logic.
Testing speed depends on coordination
The same API can feel easy or difficult depending on how fast teams prepare test data, explain issues, and respond to exceptions. Strong communication is part of good integration design.
